Update 26 August 2021
Access to Albyn Park remains unchanged.

In summary, our focus continues to be:

  • enabling players to train and play games as much as possible
  • that this is in a safe environment that mitigates the potential transmission of Covid.

With this in mind and Albyn Park opening its doors to more users access for spectators continues to be only when games are taking place and there no other teams are training.

  • Where a team is training, no access will be permitted.
  • Access will be permitted when it is games only.

Other facilities/clubs will have their own rules and please respect their decision, whether this allows spectating or otherwise.

In the last few months, taking this approach to limit access has proven to be a positive one. No Covid cases have been recorded at Albyn Park, and largely training and games have gone ahead as planned. We want to keep it that way.

Limiting access ensures the facility can remain open as BUSC staff have a reduced interaction than otherwise. The toilet facility is restricted and therefore less of a strain there. It also means our volunteers and players are better protected and therefore training and games have a much higher chance of continuing.

In recent weeks the number of cases throughout West Lothian and across Scotland has significantly increased. Therefore the chances have increased of you catching the virus. Maintaining this approach also keep you safe.
