A rain-soaked morning couldn't dampen the spirits of our fantastic new girls' team as they finally took to the pitch for their very first competitive match today.

After a summer of relentless hard work, dedication, and intense training, the moment finally arrived. Despite the wet weather, the girls bounced onto the pitch bursting with excitement and energy, ready to showcase what they’ve been working on.

The match started brilliantly, with the team immediately finding their rhythm. The girls strung together some fantastic passing sequences, moving off the ball with confidence, holding up possession, and linking up beautifully all over the pitch.

As it was their first outing as a squad, there are naturally plenty of areas to build on particularly when it comes to maintaining our shape and positional discipline. However, the tactical fine tuning takes nothing away from what was a monumental effort from every single player out there today. The work rate and desire on display were truly outstanding.

We are incredibly proud of this group. This is just the beginning of their football journey, and we cannot wait to watch these players develop, grow, and unlock their world class potential in the weeks and months to come.
